Lakes Harley
Teddy Bear Run
Great Lakes Harley-Davidson & Buell is stepping
up for the fifth year in a row to bring smiles to the young patients
of Covenant HealthCare's Pediatric Unit. The Teddy Bear Run is
an event where local bikers deliver new teddy bears and stuffed
animals to children hospitalized at Covenant HealthCare.
This
year's Great Lakes Harley Teddy Bear Run is scheduled to take
place Saturday August 7, 2011. Biker registration will
take place at Great Lakes Harley-Davidson & Buell (3850 South
Huron Road in Bay City) from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Riders will
leave Great Lakes Harley at 2:00 p.m., accompanied by a police
escort, and take route to Covenant HealthCare. Once at the hospital,
there will be a welcoming and presentation of the teddy bears.
A small number of riders will have the opportunity to present
their bears to the young patients in the pediatric unit.
After delivering the stuffed animals, riders will
make their way back to the Labadie Pig Gig presented by State
Farm at Bay City's Vet's Park. Riders will return and park in
"Hog Heaven" and receive discounted tickets to enjoy
the event. Special seating will be provided in the Covenant HealthCare
